Rhydfelin 1v Llanharan 13
On a fresh Sunday morning the team travelled to Rhydfelin, it was great to see it dry and to actually have some game time. The team which included Aidan,Ajay,Ben,Cohen,Dan, Ieuan T, Kian H, Louis,Luke,Regan,Taylor, and Tom (Captain)came out on to the park firing on all cylinders. The offloading and supportive play was second to none. Players were offloading allowing team members to score tries even though they could have gone the distance themselves. The young black& blues were very well organised and their defence made it very difficult for Rhydfelin to gain the yards resulting in a number of turnovers balls. The score line today was 13 - 1 to Llanharan, tries were scored by, Ajay,Ben, Cohen (2), Dan (2)Kian H, Louis, Luke, Regan (2), Taylor, and Tom. Skill of the week went to Luke & Taylor. Nikki and I are always extremely proud of the team whether we win, lose, or draw, but today to be commended by the coaches of the opposition on not just one or two of our players but the whole team was great. Well done boys. Thanks to all our parents and grandparents for your continued support and to Rhydfelin for inviting is up for a game.

"Finally the Weather breaks!!!
Game 1 Llanharan U7s 7 v Llantwit Fadre U7s 6 (Tries Scott 2, Ashton 1, Lewis 3 and Harry 1)
Game 2 Llanharan U7s 8 v Llantwit Fadre U7s 2 (Tries Scott 1, Evan 3, Lewis 1, Cody 2 and Harry 1)
The U7s hosted Llantwit Fadre at Pencoed College on the 3G pitch and played 2 games on a bright sunny February morning. In the first game there was a fair bit of "Ring Rust", but some good evasive running, and quick thinking saw the boys to a close win. Some great game awareness from Harry and Ashton, and also some strong running by Lewis resulted in some great trys. Some solid tagging, especially by Sam and Devon, made the difference in this game.
By the second game the young Dairymen were much more switched on and the defensive line was excellent. The boys have been working hard on this in training and it showed. Special mention to both Dylan and Owen who both had good runs denied by some last ditch tagging by the young Llantwit players. Evan and Cody led the way with some direct running resulting in some good trys, and unlike Tom James against Scotland, Scott had the gas to go the length of the field for a try!"
Match report: Mark Anderson
After all the excitement of Wales v's Scotland yesterday the children from both clubs were a credit to running rugby. Both clubs were able to field 2 sides each so the children had plenty of playing time. In 4 very high scoring games Llanharan came out on top. Winning all their games. It was nice to see so many children enjoying themselves, Thank's again must go to the parents and grandparents who continually brave the cold conditions to watch and support the children.

Whitchurch rfc whom we played at the start of the season, however the development of the boys since then has come a long way, the game was played at a frantic pace with both teams attacking, but the black and blues defence was a key part today with the team of Ajay, Aidan,Cohen,Dan,Ieuan,Ioan,Kian w,Louis,Luke,Marley, steffan,Thomas, Will, all defending well, this created turnovers and the boys scored some good try's through their off loading and support play, these were scored through,

Cohen 2
Thomas 2
Dan 1
Steffan 1
Ieuan2

Not the sort of news that we want to bring you so near Christmas, but we know you will want to respond generously to this story about one of our Dairy Tots Cian who is seriously ill.
The story comes from his father Richard Case, one of our vice presidents:
“Apologies as this post is likely to come as a bit of a shock to some of you, but our baby boy Cian that currently trains with the dairy tots (u6) and his brother id Dylan, is currently in hospital and is very poorly... it's obviously been a very difficult time for the family and I will try to update everybody on progress as and when I can. I'm in the process of setting up a website so that will make things easier...but to bring everyone up to date…Cian was admitted into Royal Glam over 2 weeks ago with tummy pains where Investigations showed a tumour on the spine…he was rushed to Cardiff where the tumour was removed… this has resulted in the loss of movement below the waist…it is not known yet how much mobility he will ever recover...the biopsy of the tumour has shown that it's cancerous and he has an op tomorrow to prepare for 6-8 months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy on his brain and spine...Anyone who has met Cian will know he has it in him to fight this and we hope and pray he will be home to Llanharan soon.

U7’S v TREHERBERT
The U7’s were home for the visit of Treherbert U7’S on a wet and windy Sunday morning. It was agreed that there would be 2 games, to give all the boys some decent game time.
Game 1
In the mud of the welfare field, it was important that the boys got away to a good start. Unfortunately things did not go totally to plan, as Treherbert managed to score almost straight off the kick off. After a little chat and a quick warm of the hands, the team hit back immediately and quickly learnt to deal with the elements. The game was very much a tit for tat affair with both teams enjoying the mud and rain! But with some solid defensive work and a real drive to stop the visitors scoring, the game soon turned the corner and the boys were in full flow.
The young Black and Blues were able to score some great tries and showed some great agility and handling skills especially in the mud of the welfare field. Once again the boys showed great team spirit and supported one another throughout the games. Great effort boys!
Game 2
After a quick team talk and a sip of water the young Dairymen carried on in the same vein. Once again and throughout the muddy mornings play, the boys managed to move the ball around, and showed they meant business! During this game the young home team fought hard and managed a draw. A quick mention to Lewis, Ashton, Evan and Harrison for the great tries that were scored in some difficult weather conditions. Also the team’s defence Gabe, Cody, Jayden, Sam, Dylan and all the try scorers who put up a great defensive display. Keep it up boys!
The team played with great commitment and enthusiasm, especially for one another and once again should be very proud of themselves. Great work team!
Also, huge thanks to coaches, parents and supporters for your continued help and support. And fingers crossed the weather improves.

CRICC 4 v Llanharan 6
It was wet in CRICC
Today we took a journey to CRICC RFC in Cardiff, braving the elements as we had a heavy downpour before and during the game. The team which included Ajay, Alex, Aidan, Cohen, Dan, Ieuan T,Kian H, Kian W, Luke,Marley, and Thomas. The team started off really well with some good off loads and their defensive play throughout the game was excellent. This resulted in a good number of turnovers for the young black & blues which contributed to some good team tries being scored by Cohen, Dan, Ieuan T (3), and Luke.
Thanks as always for all parents and grandparents for braving the heavy rain, your support is greatly appreciated as always and thanks to CRICC for the spirit the game was played in today and for the hospitality.
